| Change | Why |
|---|---|
| il tuo pagamento → il pagamento | Italian help centers use the definite article for the concept, not the possession; 'tuo' everywhere reads as possessive MT noise. Consistent article logic is the biggest single fix in help content. |
| è ritardato → è in ritardo | 'Essere ritardato' describes a person or train; a payment is 'in ritardo' or 'in attesa'. MT chose the semantically wrong adjective. |
| informazioni sull'account → dati del conto | 'Account' is a false friend in banking Italian — the word is 'conto'. 'Dati' beats 'informazioni' for form-fill contexts (shorter, standard). |
| contact support → contatta l'assistenza | The product's UI says 'Assistenza' (capitalised section name) — docs must match the product strings. MT used the generic 'supporto'. |
| we'll investigate → verificheremo | 'Indagare' is for detectives. 'Verificare' is what support teams do. One wrong verb and the sentence sounds like a crime podcast. |
| transaction ID → ID della transazione | Syntax inverted per Italian, article added. 'ID transazione' without preposition is telegraphic MT; the reviewed version reads as written Italian. |
