Model calibration drift occurs when the predicted probabilities of a classifier progressively diverge from observed outcome frequencies. Detecting calibration drift early matters in production systems: an uncalibrated fraud model may still rank transactions correctly while systematically overestimating absolute risk, which distorts downstream thresholding and manual review queues.

3 · Terminology decisions
| EN | IT | Why |
|---|---|---|
| calibration drift | drift di calibrazione | Standard usage in Italian ML literature; the alternative 'deriva di taratura' is a literal calque nobody uses. |
| thresholding | soglie | Rendered reader-friendly rather than as the anglicism 'thresholding' — the operation is explained by its effect (setting thresholds), not by its jargon name. |
| manual review queues | code di revisione manuale | The e-commerce/fintech standard Italian term; 'code di revisione umana' would sound like a philosophical distinction. |
| fraud model | modello antifrode | Attributive compound — Italian forms it as one word with a prefix, mirroring how native technical Italian actually builds compounds. |
